Montefiore Medical Center Nursing Staff Supports Military Nurses in Iraq
NEW YORK CITY,NY (May, 2004)

WHAT:
In support of military nurses currently serving in Iraq, during Nurses Week (May 6 – 12) nurses at Montefiore Medical Center are presenting a “Book of Appreciation” that will be sent to nurses on duty in Iraq. The book contains messages of support by the more than 1,800 nurses at Montefiore. It will be presented to Lt. Colonel Beulah Nash-Teachey, Assistant Chief Nurse, 344th Combat Support Hospital, and uniformed members of her unit.

The presentation will take place prior to Montefiore’s Nurses Spring Walk which will be led by Lt. Colonel Nash-Teachey and members of her troop in recognition of Nurses Week. In addition to the “Book of Appreciation,” Montefiore nurses have collected boxes full of donated sundries that also will be sent to military nurses in Iraq.
