In It Together was established by Montefiore Medical Center to provide assistance to breast cancer patients like you while you're recovering from reconstructive surgery. Through In It Together, you receive the help you need from a network of patient advocates who are former patients and through money from the Fund. When you're feeling better, you agree to help others, too.
A wide range of support services are available through In It Together, based on your particular situation. Prior to your surgery, a patient advocate will help you complete a needs assessment form. Then, the two of you will develop a personalized support program.
If you're a breast cancer patient undergoing reconstructive surgery at Montefiore Medical Center, you are eligible to participate. One of the main goals of In It Together is to ensure that all women-regardless of financial situation-receive the support they need while recovering from reconstructive surgery.
If you're interested in applying for In It Together services, please notify your doctor or support staff during a pre-operative visit, or call our office at 718-405-8259.

We care about patients and their loved ones, so we attend to them and provide comfort and care for them as well. And we help them recuperate. It’s nice to see the relief in their faces. In fact, it’s wonderful.
