Masters of Surgery
Montefiore’s Visiting Professor Series – Masters of Surgery – features Grand Round presentations from many of the nation’s top talents in their individual specialties. These lectures will offer practicing physicians and nurses current information on the latest topics and controversies in surgery. Masters of Surgery Lectures are held the 1st Monday of each month at the Grand Hall, Tishman Learning Center, MMC.

Grand Rounds presentations are held at 7 am on the 3rd and 4th Monday’s of each month. This conference features both local and other national/international experts to give presentations in their specific areas of interest.

Montefiore Institute of Minimal Invasive Surgery (MIMIS)
MIMIS is an on-site, comprehensive, state-of-the-art minimally invasive training center that houses the latest technologies in both laparoscopic and endoscopic surgery. A schedule of training sessions has been arranged to facilitate passing of the Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery (FLS) exam. These sessions are proctored by board certified MIS physicians as well as a dedicated staff at MIMIS.
The Surgical Council on Resident Education (SCORE) is a consortium formed in 2006 by the principal organizations involved in U.S. surgical education (ABS, ACS, ASA, APDS, RRC, SAGES, and ASE). SCORE's mission is to improve the education of general surgery residents in the United States through the development of a standard national curriculum for general surgery residency training.
