Our approach to treating patients with sleep disorders is integrative, combining all treatment modalities, including Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) masks, oral appliances, and surgery. We collaborate with other sleep physicians at Montefiore, as well as with dentists, neurologists, pulmonologists and pediatricians to ensure comprehensive care.

Surgical Options

When surgery becomes the best treatment option for patients, we provide cutting-edge surgical techniques for obstructive sleep apnea in multiple levels of the upper airway, including the nose, the soft palate, and the tongue base. We routinely perform:

  • Tongue base procedures including Coblation radio-frequency reduction, Repose suture suspension, genioglossus advancement
  • Hyoid myotomy and suspension
  • Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty using Coblation technology
