Family Medicine

To apply to the program, we review only applications submitted through the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS). Our NRMP number is 315320.

We have no minimum for USMLE scores, but higher scores are viewed more favorably as is having passed on first/second attempts We review applications from September 1st through November 30th. Your personal statement about interest in family medicine, especially in urban settings and letters of reference from someone who knows your work well and who can highlight your special qualities are very valuable.

For International Medical Graduates
Montefiore Medical Center does sponsor J1 and H1 visas. You must possess an ECFMG certificate before the RANK List Deadline. Preference is given to applicants who have at least six month to one year hands-on clinical experience in the U.S. as well as applicants who graduated within the past 10 years. We currently do not offer any observership/externship.

Primary Care/Social Internal Medicine

To apply to the Primary Care/ Social Internal Medicine program, we review only applications submitted through the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS). We review applications from October 1 through December 15.

Applicants may wish to apply to our categorical internal medicine program also through ERAS.

Social Pediatrics

Social Pediatrics is not listed separately in the Directory of Residency Training Programs, but it does have a separate matching number (listed under Montefiore programs as Pediatrics Primary Care with a "C" prefix).
