Established in 1973, the Division of Dermatology at Montefiore Medical Center has evolved into the only one of its kind in the Bronx, offering care for the entire spectrum of skin disorders and diseases. It is also one of merely a handful in the state of New York specializing in medical dermatology. Our goal is to offer each patient a precise diagnosis and customized treatment plan appropriate to his or her needs, while employing the latest advancements in technology to minimize the recovery period.

Whether it's the removal of an unwanted skin tag or the treatment of a skin manifestation from a serious medical disorder such as diabetes, liver or kidney disease, or post-transplantation, our team of board-certified dermatologists, sub-specialists, pediatric dermatologists, dermatologic surgeons, and nurses is committed to providing highly specialized care to patients ranging from newborns to the elderly. This includes a robust pediatric dermatology program, as well as dedicated programs for adolescents - especially for those suffering from disfiguring acne and eczema disorders - and all encompassing care for geriatrics.
