Nursing

 

We encourage new-to-practice RNs, in addition to experienced RNs, to consider nursing opportunities at Montefiore. BSN is preferred.

New-to-practice RNs can be considered while pending the results of the NCLEX examination.

We currently have several opportunities in the following areas:

  • Operating Room - General OR and Cardiac OR
  • Labor and Delivery
  • Mother/Baby
  • Pediatrics
  • Emergency Department
  • Critical Care
  • Medical/Surgical specialties
  • Nursing Management
  • OR Manager/Educator
  • Per Diem ADNs (night/evening supervisors)

The nurses in the acute care hospitals primarily work 11.5-hour shifts, 13 shifts a month for full time work. Occasionally there are part time positions. Per Diem positions are also available for most units.

A cover letter and resume are required to apply.

When you are invited for interview you also need to bring in your original documents of NYS RN license and registration, nursing school diplomaÂ’s degrees, current NYS infection control certificate and your BLS card.

LPN
Required current NYS LPN license and registration required. Licensed new graduate and experienced LPN's are considered for our outpatient and inpatient areas.  LPN's work 7.5 or 12-hour shift schedule. We currently have several opportunities in the following areas:

  • Medicine
  • Methadone
  • OR
  • Ob/Gyn
  • Psychiatry
