Resident Research

Take the General Surgery Residency Program Virtual Tour

See why so many applicants choose Montefiore-Einstein

After the PGY2, residents have the opportunity to take time off their clinical rotations and take a research sabbatical for two years. Currently, three to four residents will go out in any given class. Residents may opt to find research at Montefiore/Albert Einstein or seek research to another lab or university. In addition, the department has 2 positions a year available for the T32 grant in surgical oncology.
