Dr. Ljiljana V. Vasovic is the Director of Hematopoietic Progenitor Cell Laboratory at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York. She received her medical education from the School of Medicine, University of Belgrade. She did cancer research at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York for 6 years in the field of immunology and cancer vaccine.
Her postgraduate training included an anatomic and clinical pathology residency program at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, a Hematopathology fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and a Transfusion medicine fellowship at the Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Vasovic is board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology, hematology and transfusion medicine. She has published in the field of cancer immunology and stem cell transplantation.
