Daniel Schwartz, MD, is a board certified attending pathologist at Montefiore Medical Center and assistant professor of pathology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He graduated from Baylor College of Medicine and continued his training at Rush Medical College. After 10 subsequent years in private practice, he re-entered training in Medical Informatics at Brigham and Women’s Hospital followed by the University of Pittsburgh.
After returning to the workforce, Dr. Schwartz spent five years as Director of Pathology for a Washington-area biotechnology company, then returned to clinical practice as chief of surgical pathology at Lincoln Hospital. In 2009 he joined the faculty of Albert Einstein College of Medicine as Director of the Research Informatics Core, and converted to full-time clinical practice in 2010.
Dr. Schwartz’s main specialty interests include Medical Informatics and medical renal biopsy pathology. He is a member of the Renal Pathology Society, the American Society of Nephrology, and the College of American Pathologists.
