- Biography
- Dr. Schiff received his undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University and his medical degree from NYU School of Medicine. He completed a residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Georgetown University Hospital. Following residency he completed a two-year fellowship in Head and Neck Cancer Surgery at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas, where his first year was dedicated to performing research in head and neck oncology. During that time, Dr. Schiff developed an orthotopic nude mouse model of thyroid cancer that has been used to test various novel therapeutic agents, including some that have demonstrated promising results in human studies. Dr. Schiff is a specialist in all aspects of head and neck cancer surgery and one of a handful of surgeons in the nation with expertise in using the DaVinci Robot for minimally invasive transoral robotic resection of tumors. He currently serves as the director of the multidisciplinary tumor board at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
