- A graduate of the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Dr. Smith completed his residency in otolaryngology at Georgetown University Hospital and School of Medicine. Dr. Smith has been recognized for his vast achievements in the field of otolaryngology. He is a recipient of the Byers Award for the best clinical research from the American Head and Neck Society, the Honor Award from the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and a four-time winner of the Teacher of the Year Award from the Department of Otolaryngology. He has also been listed in Best Doctors in America, Top Doctors in New York by Castle Connolly and Top Doctor: New York Metro Area. He is also actively involved in numerous research projects studying cancers of the head and neck and is Co-Director of the Upper Aerodigestive Tract Research group at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
