- Dr. Camacho holds a medical degree from the Universidad Francisco Marroquin in Guatemala City, Guatemala, where he graduated in the top five percent of his class. He completed his residency in general surgery at Ohio State University Medical Center, where he served as chief resident and where he also received the best teacher award. Following his residency, he completed fellowship training in minimally invasive surgery at Baylor College of Medicine’s Michael E. Debakey Department of Surgery. Dr. Camacho is board certified by the American Board of Surgery, a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons and is an active member in several leading professional societies, including the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons and the American Society for Bariatric Surgery.
