- Biography
Dr. Blum is a licensed physician in the state of New York and is a board-eligible orthopaedic surgeon. He obtained his bachelor of arts degree from Yeshiva University where he was valedictorian of his graduating class. He subsequently obtained his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Dr. Blum completed residency training in orthopaedic surgery at Montefiore. In order to gain additional subspecialty training in the field of adult hip and knee reconstruction, Dr. Blum completed a fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery. During his training, he was mentored by some of the pioneers of knee and hip replacement.
Dr. Blum provides a full range of nonoperative and operative treatment for knee and hip arthritis, and has presented at national meetings, and authored several papers and chapters on the subject. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS). Dr Blum is also fluent in Spanish and Hebrew.
