- Biography
- Dr. Seimon earned Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa and was a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, Scotland. He received a Masters of Orthopaedic Surgery in Livepool, England in 1961. Dr. Seimon completed his residency at Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in the United Kingdom. He was an assistant professor at Einstein and an instructor of orthopaedics at Jacobi Hospital from 1963-1965. He spent the next thirteen years running a private practice in Durban, South Africa. In 1991, Seimon became Director of Orthopaedics at Blythedale Children's Hospital in New York. Dr. Seimon has extensive experience in tuberculosis spine, bone and joint infections, poliomyelitis, low back disorders, joint arthroplasty and arthrodesis. Since 1998, he has focused on pediatric patients.
