Anthony Casale graduated Magna Cum Laude from Vanderbilt University with a BA in Molecular Biology and Philosophy and an MD from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He completed his Urology Residency at the University of Kentucky and fellowship in pediatric urology at Harvard Medical School and Children’s Hospital Boston.
He has practiced pediatric urology for over 25 years and has served as Chief of Pediatric Urology at Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville, Chief of Urology at University of Louisville Hospital, and Chief of Pediatric Urology at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin where he also was Chief of Transplantation. He held the rank of Associate Professor at Medical College of Wisconsin, Professor of Urology at Indiana University, and Professor and Chairman of the Department of Urology at the University of Louisville. He has been President of the Kentucky Urologic Association, President of the American Association of Pediatric Urologists, and is the immediate past Chair of the Section on Urology of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Casale has published over 110 academic articles and 30 book chapters. He is a member of the honor societies Phi Beta Kappa, Alpha Epsilon Delta, and AOA. He is a member of the American Urological Association, Society of Pediatric Urology and the European Society of Pediatric Urology. His interests cover the entire scope of pediatric and adolescent urology but he has added experience in complex reconstruction including neurogenic bladder, complex genital anomalies and management of posterior urethral valves.
He and his wife, Jan have 3 daughters and an English bulldog. They enjoy family, sailing, and learning to be New Yorkers.
