- Biography
- Dr. Katz is Professor of Ophthalmology, Neurology and Neurosurgery, and holds the Francis DeJur Chair in Ophthalmology. He is the Executive Director of the Office of Clinical Trials, a partnership program between Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore. He has a medical degree from Case-Western Reserve School of Medicine and a Masters in Business Administration, Healthcare and Finance from The University of Rochester. Over the past 26 years, Dr. Katz worked in the private and government sectors as well as academia and the National Institute of Health as a clinician-scientist and medical researcher, and helped develop the first medical therapy for macular degeneration.
