Research Focus
Dr. Jackman is a board certified otolaryngologist and head and neck surgeon. Her particular areas of interest include the medical and surgical management of rhinosinusitis, epistaxis (nosebleeds), CSF leak repair, and paranasal sinus and skull base tumors. She has authored several peer reviewed journal articles as well as presented at national and international meetings on several aspects of sinonasal disease including olfaction, chronic rhinosinusitis, endoscopic sinus surgery, computer assisted surgery, and sinonasal neoplasms.
Dr. Jackman received her medical degree with honors from George Washington School of Medicine, and completed her residency in otolaryngology head and neck surgery at New York University School of Medicine and a fellowship in endoscopic sinus and skull base surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Jackman is a recipient of the Ruth L. Kircschstein National Research Service Award from the National Institute of Health. She is a reviewer for scientific journals in her field, including the American Journal of Rhinology and Allergy. In addition, Dr. Jackman serves on several committees for the American Rhinologic Society and is a governor on the Board of Governors for the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery.
