New York City, NY (August 28, 2007) -- Joanne Ritter-Teitel, PhD, RN, CNAA has been appointed Vice President, Clinical Services and Chief Nurse Executive at Montefiore Medical Center. Ritter-Teitel will manage Montefiore’s 2,200 nurses and lead inpatient nursing and dialysis services. She will be responsible for budgeting and monitoring the financial performance of all nursing initiatives.
Ritter-Teitel joins Montefiore from the Princeton Healthcare System, one of the most comprehensive and well-respected healthcare systems in New Jersey, where she served as Vice President of Patient Services. In this position, Ritter-Teitel provided system-level leadership for inpatient nursing, clinical operations and new program development, and achieved outstanding performance in all reportable quality measures.
Ritter-Teitel earned her BSN in Nursing from Columbia University, an MA from New York University and a PhD in Nursing Administration from the University of Pennsylvania.
Throughout her career, Ritter-Teitel has developed a reputation as a strong advocate of quality patient care. She brings with her significant experience as a successful and well-published executive who has achieved positive outcomes in quality initiatives, patient satisfaction, research and operations and information management.
