Comprehensive Quality Prenatal Care is Available to Anyone At Any Income Level in the Bronx
New York City, NY (April 7, 2008) -- Montefiore Medical Center has teamed up with the New York State Department of Health to offer the Prenatal Care Assistance Program (PCAP), which provides quality prenatal care to anyone in the Bronx who needs it. Women and teens who are pregnant and meet certain income guidelines are eligible to receive complete medical care during pregnancy, delivery and for at least two months after delivery.
Services under this program include:
"By offering prenatal care, we can help assure that more healthy babies are born in the Bronx," said Jon Swartz MD, MBA, FAAFP, Medical Director, Montefiore Medical Group 2 & 4, and Wendy Wilcox, MD, Montefiore Medical Center Ob/Gyn. "We are committed to healthy futures for all babies in our community."
The program is available at three sites throughout the Bronx:
Family Health Center (FHC)
Comprehensive Health Care Center (CHCC)
Comprehensive Family Care Center (CFCC)
