Dr. Camacho, is an expert in advanced laparoscopic general surgery and bariatric surgery. Of special note, he is a pioneer in single incision laparoscopic surgery for multiple procedures including cholecystectomy, foregut surgery, partial gastrectomies and hernia repairs. More recently, Dr. Camacho has been developing and creating new applications for the emerging field of Natural Orifice Translumenal Surgery (NOTES) including esophageal reflux surgery. He is one of only a small number of surgeons performing this surgery in the U.S. Dr. Camacho holds a medical degree from the Universidad Francisco Marroquin in Guatemala City, Guatemala. He completed his residency in general surgery at Ohio State University Medical Center and completed fellowship training in minimally invasive surgery at Baylor College of Medicine's Michael E. Debakey Department of Surgery.
