US News Best Regional Hospitals - New York - CancerU.S. News & World Report "America's Best Hospitals"

Montefiore placed among the top hospitals in the country in U.S. News & World Report's "America's Best Hospitals" 2011-2012. Montefiore also ranked 6th in the New York metro area out of 184 hospitals, according to U.S. News & World Report's Best Hospitals metro area rankings. Montefiore Einstein Center for Cancer Care Named Among Nation's Top Oncology Programs

Becker's Hospital Review, a leading print and online source of hospital and healthcare industry news, has included Montefiore on its nationwide list of "70 Hospitals with Great Oncology Programs." The hospitals named are on the cutting edge of cancer treatment, prevention and research, Becker's editorial team explained, with their selection based on clinical accolades, quality of care, demonstrated patient-centered care, and contributions to the field of oncology. Specifically, the Montefiore Einstein Center for Cancer Care was recognized for its research partnership with Albert Einstein College of Medicine and its current Phase I research studies for Montefiore patients, including examining the effectiveness of Taxol, a chemotherapy drug.
