Dr. Moadel-Robblee—who lost her mother to cancer when she was just 16 years old who—has devoted her career in psychosocial oncology to developing programs to meet the needs of cancer patients and their families.

Inagural Montefiore-Einstein Presidential Lecture
Joseph Sparano, MD, vice chair of medical oncology at Montefiore and associate director of clinical research at Albert Einstein Cancer Center, and John Condeelis, PhD, professor and chair of anatomy and structural biology at Einstein were the honored speakers on June 8 at the inaugural Einstein-Montefiore Presidential Lecture.
The event was hosted by Steven M. Safyer, MD, president and chief executive officer of Montefiore Medicine, and Allen M. Spiegel, MD, Einstein's Marilyn and Stanley M. Katz Dean.

Joseph A. Sparano, MD, Director, Breast Medical Oncology, Montefiore Einstein Center for Cancer Care is well known for his pioneering research using molecular and genetic profiling for diagnosing and treating breast cancer, lymphoma and HIV-associated cancers. But he is especially proud of his efforts to enroll greater numbers of minorities in cancer clinical trials.
